2024-01-07

  • New features
    • Added spell list filter to spell casting skills of character profiles in the Adventuring module.
    • Added climate and locale columns to herbs table.

  • Improvements/corrections

    • Improved attacks step during character creation to ensure selections and suggest a skill name when possible.

    • Having a character file without level in its name will no longer prevent loading characters by name using the load query.
    • User defined skill glossaries will now correctly override those from book packages.
    • Added notifications to wait after uploading files and before server restarts.
    • Redesigned loading notification. Added loading notification to more actions. Greyed out buttons during server processing in the Character Creation module.
    • RMFRP: resistance against hybrid spells will now correctly apply the full value of the same realm bonus.
  • Advanced Customization
    • Variant races can be included in the Races directory to be offered during character creation.
    • Added support for base 64 avatars in Creature files.
    • Added warning when using an out of date version. The check is on by default, and can be configured using option “checkForUpdates”.
  • Package updates
    • RMC: Arms Law was updated to correct a fumble table. Spell Law, Shadow World, Oriental Companion, Companion I and Combat Companion were updated to include the new category information for all spell lists.
    • RMFRP: Character Law and Races and Cultures were updated to improve culture rank assignments to spell lists. Treasure Companion, Spell Law, Shadow World, Mentalism Companion, Fire and Ice, Essence Companion, Combat Companion, Channeling Companion and Arcane Companion were updated to include the new category information for all spell lists.
    • RMU: Spell law was updated to include the new category information for all spell lists.

    • Added skill glossaries, to include description and common situational modifiers.
    • Added button when editing a skill in the character sheet module, which opens a dialog with the corresponding skill glossary entry.
    • Redesign of the maneuver resolution dialog, which now offers a manual roll modifier, lists all modifiers affecting the roll, and displays the skill glossary entry.
    • Made skills in the character status module clickable, to open a dialog with the corresponding skill glossary entry.
    • Modified loading of all packages to allow reporting conflicting files. Conflicts can be resolved by manually prefixing the package files with a number indicating loading priority.
    • Added link to allow receiving PayPal donations.
    • Added list of body area steps when resolving criticals below severity A, to help manual adjustment of results.
  • Improvements/corrections
    • Character profile attacks, maneuvers and spell lists in the Adventuring module will once again be shown after adding/removing them.
    • Combat skills marked as favorite without a fumble range will default to 2, so they can be shown on the printable character sheet.
    • Aborting a level up will now correctly refresh the inventory tab to the items declared before the level up was started.
  • Package updates
    • RMC: Character Law, Companion I and Shadow World were updated to include skill descriptions.
    • RMFRP: Essence Companion, Mentalism Companion, Shadow World were updated to include skill descriptions. Fire and Ice was updated to include the Arcane Realm.
    • RMFRP School of Hard Knocks is now available. It includes all skill descriptions, professions and training packages in the book.
    • RMU: Core Law was updated to include skill descriptions.

    • Added total carried weight, weight penalty and casting penalties to the inventory tab of the Character Sheet module.

    • Creature templates now indicate a Category, which allows for improved filtering when adding NPCs/creatures to an adventure.

    • Simplified the load and save buttons in the character sheet module
    • Defensive modifications with negative values will now be offered in the attack dialog.
    • Negative quickness will now correctly result in a negative DB.
    • RMFRP subterfuge attack table can now be accessed again.
  • Advanced Customization
    • Added server option directory to specify a different ruleset location, which allows tracking different campaigns with the same ruleset. Must be a directory next to the original ruleset directories provided, the name can’t contain spaces or special characters. For example if you want to have a second RMU set of files to manage a different campaign, in a Windows directory named AnotherUnified, run: cmd /C Server\ERA-Server.exe Server\ERA-Server.dat launchpad start --settings-file=Server\ERA-Settings.ini ERA --ruleset=RMU --directory=AnotherUnified

2023-01-02

  • New features
    • Added maximum result and critical columns to favorite attacks in the printable character sheet.
  • Improvements/corrections
    • In the printable character sheet, a favorite attack with +0 item bonus will now be shown as an empty string. When all favorite attacks have +0 item bonus the column will not be shown.
    • RMC movement speeds when loading creatures are now the expected ones from Creatures and Treasures, instead of always considering RMFRP initiative bonus.
    • Starting a new round when creatures and NPCs are involved is working again.

  • New features

    • When indicating the number of preparation rounds for a spell in the Character Status module, a tooltip will explain the meaning of the numbers shown.
  • Improvements/Corrections
    • New server dialog.
    • Initiative in RMC and RMFRP will no longer adjust the roll by the total injuries/modifications. Now only the corresponding Wounded adjustment will be applied.
    • When updating a skill in the Character Sheet module, changing the classification will refresh the available fields without needing to accept the classification change first.
    • When updating a skill in the Character Sheet module, the rank binding can now be applied to all skills.
  • Advanced Customization
    • Creature templates can specify a fixed resistance bonus for each concept/realm.
    • Creature templates can optionally indicate a maximum table result and a fixed critical type.

2022-10-10

  • New features
    • The special bonus in the Character Sheet module will offer a tooltip when hovering over it, indicating whether the value is “just a system bonus” or if there is an automatic calculation involved.
    • All bonuses in ERA will now be preceded by a + when positive.
    • The Adventuring module has a new “meeting” icon, which will open a Jitsi meeting, to help coordinating virtual sessions. The Character Status module also has the new icon, so players can easily join the same meeting.
    • Option to show all skills when generating the printable character sheet.
    • Option to indicate a fixed critical type and maximum result for combat skills. These options will appear on combat skills for character profiles in the Adventuring module, and skills classified as offensive bonus in the Character Sheet module.
  • Improvements/Corrections
    • Visual redesign of the culture and profession steps of the Character Creation module.
    • Improved the automatic name given to saved adventures, to help locate and differentiate them.
    • When entering a roll sequence in the Adventuring module, 00 will be interpreted as 100. Also spaces in the text will be ignored.
    • The map in the Travel module is working again.
  • Advanced Customization
    • Critical tables now support UM rows.
    • Attack tables no longer require indicating a default critical type.
    • Player Kept Records can be configured to keep track of specific information relevant to each gaming group. Examples include XP, money carried, status. Ask for the XML format if you are interested in this feature.
